The Atten/Mixer from Hikari Instruments offers a compact utility for attenuating and mixing CV or audio, with a number of useful features to maximize its potential in just 8HP. At the top of the module, slider controls for each of seven inputs provide intuitive control over signal amplitude. Denoted by white slider caps for the first four channels and dark caps on the subsequent three, these two groups of channels offer slightly different operation which extends the utility of the module. Channels one through four feature independent outputs and dedicated mute switches, enabling you to control the amplitude of multiple CV or audio signals in separate signal flows, with performance-focused mutes that help make quick changes to a patch. When a connection is made to any independent output, that channel is removed from the final Mix Out jack. Channels five through seven provide a more straightforward approach, simply mixing in with the other four channels at the main Mix Out jack.

Adding additional support for CV manipulation, the first four channels act as CV offset generators when left unpatched, delivering between 0 and +5V across the slider's range. This allows you to take one or multiple CV signals and mix them together to create a more complex gesture, then use an unpatched channel to offset this complex shape, targeting different depths of the parameter being controlled. The mute switches for each of the first four inputs let you easily bypass and reenable these offset generators at the Mix Out, enabling sequence transpositions, delay throws, and much more.
