The Ping Filter from Hikari Instruments is a multi-mode filter that excels at creating plucky percussive sounds using the dedicated ping input. This 12dB/oct filter has simultaneous low pass, band pass, and high pass outputs with a common input. Control both the resonance and filter cutoff with CV inputs, including an FM input with bipolar control over the CV amount. With the resonance turned up, a signal at the trigger input will strike the filter and create a distinctive filter ping.

The fuzz switch turns the filter into a fuzz machine with a ton of distortion added to the signal path. Also included in the module is a white noise output, eliminating the need to bring in external signals. Whether you use the Ping Filter as a simple filter, a fuzz module, or as a percussive voice on its own, it shines in any application.
