BQ-10 24-Step Analog Sequencer
Behringer BQ-10
The BQ-10 Analog Sequencer is a desktop MIDI and CV sequencer that takes inspiration from a classic 1970's design, bringing flexible 24-step sequencing to modern synthesizer and modular set-ups. Reimagined with modern enhancements, the BQ-10 provides 24 steps of sequencing in three eight-step lanes, with versatile modes for using these lanes separately or together. Likewise, the addition of MIDI synchronization and MIDI note output makes this legendary design easy to integrate with virtually any instrument in your set-up, providing the hands-on experience of analog sequencing in any musical project.
At the center of the BQ-10 are its three lanes of sequencing, each with independent switches for voltage range that include the Hz/V standard for integrating with vintage devices. At the left side, transport controls provide tactile buttons for starting and stopping, as well as a manual step button for in-depth, per-step programming. Using the eight sequencing modes, you can arrange the lanes of sequencing in a flexible range of playback directions and step combinations. This enables 16-step and 8-step sequencing in multiple modes, with the C channel available for timbre modulation and more. Independent voltage outputs for each lane let you target both pitch and other parameters, while the combined multiple trigger output is perfect for triggering envelopes in your synth. Additionally, each step has an independent trigger output which is particularly useful with the Reset input, enabling you to patch-up odd step lengths for your sequences.
At the top of the unit, versatile synchronization options allow for connecting your set-up how you see fit. External clock control enables you to expand and contract tempo in real time via CV. In addition to all this sequencing power, the BQ-10 includes a trigger processor section based on another vintage unit, providing simple trigger signal manipulation, 1V/Oct to Hz/V conversion, and a helpful voltage addition amplifier for mixing sequences together. A full suite of 5-Pin MIDI connections as well as USB MIDI round out the BQ-10's flexible connectivity options. Whether you're looking for a dedicated analog sequencer for your favorite vintage or modern instruments, or just want to invite some more hands-on control across your entire studio, the BQ-10 from Behringer is here to get your music moving.
