AKG C214

Poised as a cost-effective yet high-quality alternative to the iconic C414, AKG's C214 Large Diaphragm Condenser promises to offer nearly the same performance as its relative. Containing the same basic structure as the 414, but with only a cardioid polar pattern, the C214 dependable partner for many sonic scenarios where the 414's extensive polar pattern selection is not required.

There's also an onboard 160Hz highpass filter and -20dB pad, so the C214 can gracefully handle loud and unruly sound sources with lots of bass. Vocals, piano, wind instruments, and many more are all fair game with this mic. Delivering remarkably high quality for its price and an absolutely enormous range of potential uses, it's hard to beat a microphone like the C214.
