The ADDAC401 Gated Envelope Follower is great for using the volume of any sound signal as a modulation source. It features audio input with level control, which feeds into the envelope follower. The module produces a continuous envelope corresponding to the incoming signal's loudness, shaped by decay, gain, and offset controls.

Additionally, the ADDAC401 features eight gate outputs which are triggered by the corresponding level of the VU meter. A gate offset controls which one of the eight gate outputs is the zero position, and features CV control with attenuation. An offset trigger input is also present, which linearly steps through the different gate offset points.
