Thanks to the OX by Universal Audio, guitarists can use their favorite amp at any volume level, from fully-cranked to totally silent, with responsive microphone and cabinet emulations. OX is ideal for those living in apartments or rely on recording sessions late at night. Universal Audio has painstakingly modeled the response of a whopping 22 different amp cabinets from some of the most legendary guitar amp makers, as well as six different microphones commonly used for recording guitar amps, and OX offers incredible control for adjusting placement of several simultaneous microphones. Six of these settings can be saved to the RIG knob on the front panel, but a companion app for iOS, Mac, or Windows from UA offers full control and hundreds of presets. OX will seamlessly integrate into any recording setup, featuring direct monitoring outputs, as well as S/PDIF.
