Tascam's Model 12 is a flexible audio interface, DAW control surface, and portable 12-track recorder that features high quality preamps, flexible routing, and built-in effects. Use the eight channels, each with a single Ultra HDDA mic preamp, for ultra quiet audio capture. Channels 1 and 2 have a dedicated mono TRS insert jack, Channels 7 and 8 (7/8, 9/10) each have an additional 1/4" jack for stereo line level, and all XLR inputs can provide phantom power. Connect and mix your phone or mobile devices with a built-in Bluetooth connection and 3.5mm TRRS jack. Fine tune how each instrument sits in the mix with a one knob compressor and 3-band EQ. Add master effects with a variety of delays and reverbs; route audio to a submix with dedicated fader or to one of two aux outputs in addition to the mains.

The Model 12 works great as a mixer, but that only scratches the surface. Use the mixer features to record 12 tracks directly onto an SD card and you can playback up to 10 tracks for performance or external real time mixing. Connect via the USB-C port and use the inputs to record directly into your computer. You have the option to use the Model 12 as a DAW control surface as well which will bypass the device's panel controls and forward the faders, pan pots, and other knobs to the DAW for real time software control.

Additional options include 5-pin MIDI I/O, two discrete headphone outputs which can have independent mixes, dedicated Click output for keeping everyone in sync, and a TRS dual Footswitch input for assignable control over various parameters.
