Strange Science Instruments M4

M4, from Strange Science Instruments, is a 4-input mixer with some exciting extra features. For example, each channel includes a normalled direct out for routing the selected channel elsewhere throughout one’s modular system. Patching into this jack exempts that specific channel from the master out, effectively mobilizing that channel as a VCA with further mixing and routing potential.

Other amenities include volume and pan cv jacks, each of which scan switch between +/- 5V and +/- 10V. In addition to more traditional modulation signals, these cv inputs can also handle audio rate signals, allowing users to modular the volume and pan position with audio signals to achieve crazy distortion effects.
