Steady State Fate Entity Metalloid

Tackling the tricky sound design task of cymbals and other metallic percussion instruments, Steady State Fate presents the Entity Metalloid Percussion. Entity Metalloid features a dual-voice design, wherein you can easily emulate open/closed hihats, skronky snares with varying brightness and decay times, and more. At its core, Metalloid features three analog oscillators passed through two separate ring modulation paths, yielding separate but related voices specialized in metallic rings and tones.

The oscillators behind voices A and B feature global Variant, Tuning, and Material settings. Tune sets the overall pitch of the three oscillators, while Variant and Material provide detuning and non-linear FM bussing, respectively. The two voices feature independent Decay, Filter Modulation, Filter Cutoff, and Filter Mode settings for sonic variety. Level controls also let you dial in the desired mix from the module itself, while optional Choke settings allow you to emulate the behavior of real drummers and drum machines choking a cymbal. Add some metallic ring to your Eurorack percussion voices with Entity Metalloid from SSF.
