The TDx from SPL is a 500-Series transient designer module for sculpting sounds with level independent dynamics processing, giving you total control over the attack and sustain of any sound. Using the Differential Envelope Technology found in their rack format Transient Designer, the TDx brings powerful dynamics processing with simple and intuitive control to your 500-series rack. Attenuate or increase the attack phase of a signal with the Attack control, letting you dial up the snappiness in a drum track or soften hard edges in a vocal recording. The sustain control extends or shortens the decay of a signal after the attack transient, adding weight and heft to drums, fattening up bass lines, and more. Dedicated Mix and Output controls allow you to balance the wet and dry signals for perfect parallel processing, and set a final output level to drive downstream devices.
