Overdrive is a notorious and perhaps unnecessarily complicated problem for bassists, and the aptly named Grind Machine from Seamoon FX tackles it head-on. All-analog and designed to give the low end the tailored treatment it deserves, the pedal offers a versatile bass drive playground spanning from subtle boost through mild saturation to ripping distortion, without losing the bottom end along the way.

Grind Machine's tone is set via four controls: Level, Drive, Blend, and Cut. There are also two toggle switches—the two-position on top engages hard clipping, while the three-position below selects soft clipping across two distortion amounts. Between them lies a wide range of flavor, with some hidden gems: set Cut all the way left and the pedal bursts into feedback you can shape with the surrounding controls.
