Program Card Bundle For MTM Computer Module
RYK Modular Program Card Bundle
Bring new creative possibilities to your Music Thing Modular Workshop System with the Program Card Bundle from RYK Modular, providing four new Computer Module algorithms across three program cards. Designed to slot-in to your Workshop System's Computer Module, these cards swap the functionality of this programmable tool with custom software designed by the modular masterminds at RYK.
The first card, B77 Tape, turns the Computer Module into a digital two-track tape recorder, allowing you to record about 1.5 minutes of audio between the two tracks. Tape-inspired playback manipulation allows you to immediately reverse playback, change speed and pitch continuously, and control playback with trigger and gate signals from your system. You also get manual and CV control of the balance between each track at the output, enabling a wide range of CV-crossfading applications.
The second card offers two algorithms in a single card, which can be switched between with your Computer Module's Z Switch. The first of the two programs is the 355 Pitch to Voltage converter, which analyzes an incoming monophonic signal to track another instrument's pitch and convert it into 1V/oct pitch CV signals for controlling voices in your system. While limited to monophonic sources, this offers a great way to extend the sound of acoustic instruments with synthesized timbres, jam along with live performers, and other creative applications. Onboard is also a dedicated multi-waveform oscillator that tracks the audio input signal, as well as controls for adjusting the behavior of pitch tracking. Switch over to the 350 Vocoder program, and this card offers a 14-band digital vocoder. Beyond classic robot-voice applications, this handy tool allows you to modulate the spectral content of one sound with another signal, turning drums into plucky chords, noisy melodies into strange spectral chimes, and much more. When used without a carrier input of your own, the internal 4-note polyphonic chord generator is used instead, making it easy to create chordal sounds from any input modulator signal.
Finally, the last card offers the 910 Pitched Delay program. This pitch shifted delay effect processes sounds through a delay and shifts it up to an octave in either direction, creating unique harmonic repeats, shimmering plucks, and more. Controls for the delay effect are provided, as well as CV control over pitch shifting. You can also use the pulse inputs to freeze the audio buffer for creating rich pads and pseudo-sample-synths, or gate the delay for punch-in send effect gestures.
If you're on the hunt for more ways to extend the already impressively flexible Workshop System, these cards from RYK are a great way to bring more modular fun to one of the best semi-modular environments in all of Eurorack.
