Ritual Electronics Anima
The Anima from Ritual Electronics takes the West Coast style function generator and brings it into the digital realm. Each channel has controls for attack, decay, and curve. The curve goes from logarithmic to linear to exponential and does not change the total time of the envelope, unlike analog function generators. The attack and decay times both go from 0.5ms to 40 seconds for super snappy or ultra-long evolving envelopes. There is a three-position switch that selects the mode, attack/decay, attack/sustain/release, or cycling. The output can range from 0-8v in unipolar mode or -5v-+5v in bipolar mode. Each channel has CV control of the parameters with attenuverters to dial in the appropriate amount of modulation. Additionally, the Anima can track 1 v/oct over 10 octaves and has an end of cycle trigger output. This isn't an old school function generator, this is a new style with a lot of power—capable of envelopes, LFOs, glitchy digital audio oscillations, and much more.
