Pull Focus from Rainger FX is a distortion pedal with a few tricks up its sleeve, fading in a chorus or reverb effect after your note to create spatial effects that respond to your playing. In addition to these dynamic effects, a noise gate is employed to keep your signal quiet when you aren't engaging your instrument. While the analog distortion and digital effects sound great alone, the Pull Focus's ability to create spatial depth that shifts inward and outward in response to your playing empowers captivating gestures, wild improvisatory moves, and all sorts of fade-in fun!

Rainger FX dutifully developed the analog distortion in Pull Focus to have a full range, balanced, and versatile tone that will satisfyingly saturate any signal you send it. The distortion features familiar volume, tone, and gain settings, making it easy to dial in the sound that suits your music.Things start to get particularly interesting once you employ the fade-in effect. Click the effect button to choose between a thick and saucy chorus or a sweet and darkened reverb. In chorus mode, the effect knob controls the speed of modulation, from slow swaying bends to a nervous warble. In reverb mode, this knob adjusts reverb depth and size, anywhere from close-quarters microreflections to spacious caves of sound. The ramp effect, taken from their iconoclastic Break Box pedal, can create fade-ins of these effects after each attack you perform on your instrument. The ramp knob allows for turning the effect fully on or fully off to the far left and right, and adjusts ramp time from under 1 second to a generous 8 seconds in between either extreme.
