Qu-Bit Electronix Chord
The Qu-Bit Electronix Chord is a four-voice polyphonic oscillator for use in Eurorack modular synthesizer systems. As its name suggests, the Chord makes it extremely easy to create chords without the time usually required to tune oscillators. Additionally, the module can generate chords using harmonic motion, allowing for the effortless creation of meaningful progressions based on an external signal. A dedicated Harmonize button selects a corresponding chord voicing as dictated by a particular root note, resulting in harmonic motion. The module boasts individual outputs for the root, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and a mix of all four. The nearby Triad button drops the 7th note from the chord.Â
The Chord features overlapping, fading, morphable waveforms that result in unique timbral shifts. Powerful voicing control determines how the chord is configured across the selected octave, while the Root control alternates the lowest note in the chord. There’s also a Quality control that changes the type of chord from major 7th, minor 7th, dominant 7th, and even half diminished chords.Â
