Otter Mods OTTeR

OTTeR from Otter Mods is a unique sequencer and modulation source that allows you to create 8-step sequences and address each step nonlinearly to create organized randomness in any patch. The column of sliders set each step's voltage, while the three controls labelled A, B, and C adjust three clock divisions which through internal logic allow for jumping between steps of your sequence on each clock pulse. With each of these knobs set fully counterclockwise, the sequence progresses from top to bottom, but adjust even a single knob, and your original sequence will start to shuffle around between steps. This allows for creating musical variation on a pre-defined set of pitches or other parametric settings, easily creating variation and development in your pattern with hands-on knob tweaking.

The entire module can be clocked from a single clock signal applied to the Clock input, which is also sent to the clock output, allowing you to synchronize OTTeR with other elements in your patch without a dedicated multiple. For even more complexity in your clocking, each of the three clock dividers feature their own dedicated clock input, allowing you to create everything from polyrhythmic gestures to full-on multi-temporal chaos. Transpose your melodies or modulation for more CV variation with the transpose input, which applies an offset voltage to the entire sequence. The Reset input sets the sequencer back to the first step at each received gate signal, while the Inhibit input allows you to pause the sequence and mute its output using a gate signal. At the output stage, OTTeR provides both full and half range CV outputs, generating two different but related sequences for use in your patches.
