Noise Engineering Jam Jam
Jam Jam is a four-channel gate and trigger processor from Noise Engineering that packs a lot of interesting utilities into a compact package. Three modes give you different flavors of processing: with the first mode, Random, each channel is a probability processor which makes it easy to add uncertainty to your patches. The second mode, Clock Phase, lets you adjust a clock signal to be in and out of phase with another clock signal, allowing for interesting sequencer phasing. Gate Delay mode is the third option and simply delays the incoming gate signals by just a few milliseconds to over 15 seconds. At just 6hp the Jam Jam from Noise Engineering is a useful tool for taking a straight sequence or regular pulse and turning it into something that is ever changing while still being musical.
Jam Jam Features
- 4 Channels of gate and tigger processing
- 3 Modes: Random, Clock Phase, and Gate Delay
- CV Control over all 4 channels
- Eurorack module
- Width: 6hp
- Depth: 22.9mm
- Current draw: 40mA @ +12V, 10mA @ -12V
Random mode turns the outputs into four individually adjustable probability processors, great for adding variety to a patch. In Clock Phase mode, the module tracks and phase adjusts incoming clocks based on clock period. Use this to adjust sequencer timing or to create sequences that drift out of sync and then back in with CV. Use Gate Delay mode as a simple trigger delay for latency compensation or for creative patching: dial in the timing of events in your patch from sub-millisecond adjustments to huge delays of over 15 seconds.
Jam Jam is a musical and fun utility sure to find a use in every patch.
