OCTA from NANO Modules is a 4-channel analog drum machine inspired by the TR-808, with modern modular features that bring the legendary sound into the future. It includes individual trigger inputs for each channel, giving you access to a fully Eurorack controllable drumkit. Each channel contains its own individual Output, Mute Switches for performance mixing, and CV inputs for controlling the Level / Drive control. The Drive knob controls the channel's volume at 0% to 50%. Beyond 50%, the Drive knob becomes just that, from subtle saturation to screaming distortion, along with built-in soft-clipping and an LED to indicate when soft-clipping is active. OCTA's four channels also feature their own individual character-shaping controls, each tailored to suite the channel's specific sound. The Kick voice features Tone, Tune and Decay controls, the Snare with Tone, Snap, and Noise, while the Closed Hat features Tone, and the Open Hat provides Decay Control. The OCTA also includes master controls for affecting its sound holistically, such as the Tilt EQ for boosting the module's high or low end. Finishing off your drum sound, an onboard Compressor adds subtle glue to the mix, or heavy, pumping distortion. Additionally, the OCTA includes an Out Mix that produces a summed output of each drum voice, along with a Side Chain output, which provides an envelope follower output for instant access to a complex and dynamic CV signal for external modulation.
