Mutable Instruments Kinks

Kinks is the brooding older sibling of MI’s Links module. Where Links  excels at signal dispersion and mixing, Kinks’s specialty is mangling the shape of whatever audio and CV signals are patched into it. 

“Sign”, is comprised of an inverter and 2 rectifiers (one half-wave and the other full-), and is especially useful for reshaping LFOs, mutating CV sequences, or adding overtones.

“Logic” is an analog OR gate that blends triggers/gates, LFOs, envelopes, and even audio signals! Patching audio signals into this section enables the creation of the same side-bands produced via ring-modulation. 

“S&H” functions just like a traditional S&H circuit: each trigger the module receives causes the output to hold whatever voltage value is present at the input when the trigger is sent. Additionally, the signal-in is normalized to a white noise circuit, allowing for the quick and efficient addition of stepped randomness into ones patch.
