Expanding on their excellent 7X500, Lindell Audio presents the amazing 500 series format 77X500—a FET style stereo compressor that is a perfect option for drum and mix bus duties, paying tribute to the much beloved UA 1176. While the stereo unit faithfully retains most of the features of the single-channel version, the Attack and Release parameters here are upgraded to variable controls for higher precision. The Ratio is definable by a three-position switch with options for 4:1, 12:1, and 100:1. It also sports a convenient sidechain high pass filter, a Comp Mix control, allowing for parallel compression, and supports both linked and unlinked operation.
