Leaf Audio brings us their Field Amp, a portable preamp that is designed for contact mics and geophones with up to 50x gain. Based on their beloved Microphonic Soundbox preamp, which has been lauded for its incredibly low noise, the Field Amp features a rugged enclosure—giving you a safe, reliable option for portable contact mic performances and recordings. Using the 3.5mm input, you have a volume control for the preamp, as well as two 3.5mm outputs: a normal 0dB and a -12dB option. Both outputs can go directly into another portable field recorder if desired.

Power is provided by a 9VDC barrel or from batteries. If you're a sound designer or musician working with contact mics, geophones, or other physical body capturing devices, the Field Amp from Leaf Audio is a great way to add depth, clarity, and volume to your recordings.
