Laine Modular Vole

Vole from Laine Modular is a 1U dual-channel volume control that adds subtle enhancement to low and high frequencies, adding soft-clipping and a Hi-Fi style EQ boost to signals for a polished end of chain sound. While both channels feature wideband amplification and clipping, channel one provides a high frequency boost while channel two focuses on low end material. Process two signals separately for targeted boosts to either range on signals that need it, or process sounds with each stage in series by connecting to the first channel, which is normalled to the second channel input.

While Vole's functionality is subtle compared to many far-out processors in the modular ecosystem, its applications are widely varied, imparting a positive effect on virtually any signal in your rack. Add bite to drum tracks to help cut through thick synth pads, or dial up the oomph of basslines and kick drums to add low end support. With two Voles, you can create stereo enhancement on your end of chain signals, letting you add that extra bit of snazzy mid-scoop sound to add the final glaze of excitement to a record-ready patch.
