Gotharman Tuul

Gotharman's TuuL is a 4 channel multifunction module that gives you access to a few highly-curated building blocks for modular composition. Any of the 4 channels can function as any of the blocks—starting with the first, you get a Modulator, which is an 8 step modulator that can be free running, triggered, or synced to a clock. Each step outputs a random voltage in addition to predetermined voltages, created with rise/fall time and curve, hold time, level and ripples. The second block is the VCO/LFO, which gives you access to sine, triangle, saw, square, FOF, cymbal waveshapes. Many parameters are CV adjustable and a built-in glide can give you beautiful glissandos.

The third block is the Filter section, which gives you 2 x BPF, LPF and HPF in parallel, HPF into LPF and Vowel filter types. You get 2 types of Cutoff parameters to modulate, along with Form and Resonance. Best of all, all channels can be linked in stereo, meaning you can easily get a stereo filter that feeds a stereo effects section. Speaking of the fourth block is a doozy and might be the most robust: effects. 17 different effects let you shape your sound in classic and unique ways with delays and reverb, pitch shifters, coloration effects, and more. This block, too, can be stereo linked, or you can have a stack of 4 mono effects all feeding into each other.

The last block is an xVCA which gives you access to a VCA, Ring Mod, or Crossfader. Each channel has the option to take input from any of the 4 inputs or any of the other channels. This can create interesting and elaborate signal flows, especially when using the 32 built-in preset slots. With so much functionality and flexibility, Gotharman's TuuL is a module that shouldn't be absent from any case.
