The C8X gives you eight dedicated mic preamps, two of which are ISA preamps that each feature Lundahl LL1538 input transformers, adding subtle warmth and body to any signal. They also feature balanced inserts, stepped and fine gain control, switchable impedance, high-pass filter, and up to 79dB of gain. The first two channels also feature front-panel instrument inputs with selectable impedance which also run through the ISA transformer circuitry, allowing you to apply both Console and 430 Air modes.

The six other channels are Focusrite's ultra-low noise, preamps designed to reliably capture every nuance with 69dB of clear, detailed gain and includes both analog Air processing for high-end clarity and variable Drive DSP for analog-style harmonic saturation. Possibly one of the most incredible features is the inclusion of both XLR and balanced 1/4" line inputs on each channel, making the C8X one of the most patchbay friendly interfaces around. Perfect for any studio, including surround applications, you get 12 line outputs that can handle speaker configurations up to 7.1.4. Use the Focusrite Control app to set up up to 3 monitor configurations, remotely control the parameters, and access ADAT/SPDIF.
