Eventide Riptide

With Riptide, Eventide presents a new entry to their dot9 pedal series that boasts highly convincing Uni-Vibe sounds paired with thick overdrive tones, all bolstered by the power and convenience of a digital pedal. Building off of some of the research that went into the H90, Riptide features a pair of fleshed out Uni-Vibe and overdrive emulations, aiming to be among the most accurate digital versions of these classic sounds ever created. In fact, the Riptide is the first dot9 pedal to feature two pedals in one, but to ensure ease of use Eventide gave this pedal a straightforward interface of just three drive knobs and three vibe knobs.

Each of Riptide's effects offer two modes, lending you different sounds for different scenarios. Starting with the vibe, the green mode perfectly captures the essence of the legendary Shin-ei Uni-Vibe, while red mode goes deeper with the intensity of modulation and approaches phaser territory. On the drive side, green mode is a touch-sensitive mid-range circuit, while red is smoother and higher gain. Best of all, you can quickly change the order of the effects with the tap of a button, giving you drive into vibe or vibe into drive as needed. With these modes and the ability to store a handful of presets, Riptide is a compact but highly potent source of stellar tones.
