Across Grackle's well organized and robust set of controls, three distinct operator algorithms give you plenty of options for crafting tones both classic and contemporary. ADD mode sums both modulators to manipulate the phase of the carrier in concert, while MUL multiplies them before expanding their harmonic content through a seven-stage wavefolder. CASCADE mode links each operator in series; mod1 manipulates mod2, which in turn modulates the carrier. Finger friendly fader controls allow for both precise adjustments and unruly transformations, while a full suite of CV inputs and individual operator outputs provide a rich landscape for creative patching.

Grackle comes alive amidst a flock of your other modulators and processors, but make no mistake, this bird is happy to fly solo. An integrated VCA envelope with three modes allows for discrete triggering as a full voice, asymmetric slewing which follows the state of the gate input, or continuous cycling while the gate input is high. The envelope features its own output as well, letting you patch its movements to other parameters in your system or even Grackle's own CV inputs.
