The TSC 12 Touch Sensitive Controller from Elta Music brings the powerful, performance oriented controller from the Solar 42 series of instruments to Eurorack systems. Featuring twelve capacitive touch plates, the TSC 12 provides multiple modes for finger mediated modular control. Using the encoder and menu buttons, the TSC 12 eagerly bends into a wide range of controller types. A realtime keyboard controller, a touch-sensitive arpeggiator, or a 16-step sequencer are all at your fingertips, ready to provide whatever control you need in your patch. Within these modes, the behavior of the device can be set as either one twelve-key keyboard, or twin six-note keyboards. There is also Split behavior, allowing each half of the controller to take on entirely different settings, for example using both a sequencer and a keyboard simultaneously.

In each mode, the encoder provides intuitive access to mode-specific and global settings, enabling complex control set-ups that enhance your expression. Global settings include portamento and vibrato, as well as adjustments to the Pressure control output. While keys can be individually fine-tuned in their CV values for microtonal performance, an onboard Quantizer is provided which makes 12-tone music easy and intuitive, with scale and root note selection options. The keyboard features an internal clock which can be replaced by an external signal from your system. Additional connections for 1V/Oct pitch CV, two separate gate outputs, pressure CV output, and a reset input provide ample opportunity for interfacing with the rest of your patch. As a uniquely flexible controller, the TSC 12 from Elta Music delivers the same robust, hands-on control to Eurorack systems that it does in the formidable Solar 42, offering a deep and inspiring platform for performance control.
