Electronic Audio Experiments The Bard

Presenting another pedal that is sure to provide singing tones to your pedalboard, The Bard is Electronic Audio Experiments' ode to one of their favorite classic amplifiers: the Music Man HD130. Unique for the time that they were in production, the HD130 combined a solid-state preamp with a tube power amp, resulting in sonic flavors unlike any other. Perfectly capturing the essence of those amps, the Bard traverses the spectrum of tone from cleanest cleans to jangly mid-gain and up to thick gain that is distinctly uncharacteristic of tubes—just like the original amp.

In addition to Level and Drive controls, The Bard features passive Low and High EQ controls to shape your tone further. Add in the Bright switch that shifts the character of the High band, and you'll find a palette of tonal possibilities eager to color your sound in many ways. Sparkle up your guitar, bass, or other instruments with The Bard from EAE.
