The Stylophone Gen X-2 from Dubreq is a portable analog synthesizer with a plethora of controls for creating expressive, complex sounds on-the-go, powered by only four AA batteries. It features a multifunction expression strip, which can affect a number of parameters, such as pitch bend, filter cutoff, and vibrato for performance-based gestures. Sculpt expressive analog synth sounds in the palm of your hand with the Envelope section, which provides control over the Attack, Pitch, and Decay of your sounds, for a wide spectrum of articulations. The included delay section is fully featured—with Time, Level, and Repeat parameters—providing everything you need to turn the Stylophone into an atmospheric sci-fi machine.

One of the biggest revisions to this new version of the Stylophone is the onboard CV functionality, which allows you to take direct control over the Pitch, Gate, or Filter parameters, allowing them to be played with an external keyboard, sequencer, or even integrated into a Eurorack system. You can even control your CV-compatible gear with the Pitch and Gate outputs, making the Gen X-2 a wonderful controller as well. The new Octave Switch allows you to extend the range of the Stylophone by two extra octaves, allowing for even more expressive playing.
