Drift DJ's Zero is their inaugural device that marries function and portability in a way never before seen in a DJ ecosystem. Battery powered and small enough to fit in a pocket, on a lanyard, or tucked in an already-full pouch, the compact and intuitive layout of the Zero enables powerful, portable DJing. A large jog wheel controller easily lets you surf the waveforms of your audio without feeling like it's just a tiny platter. It is a tiny platter, but the feel of it blends seamlessly in the thoughtful UI, sturdy faders, and capable encoders. All of this tactile interaction would be nothing without the generous screen that displays Zero's proprietary software, designed with obvious attention to detail to what DJ's need in performance.

Indeed, the software is what makes this device sing, with the option to load up your own files into the 32GB internal storage, sync your established library from Engine DJ and Rekordbox, or use it as a recording device to capture your ideas, tracks, and live performances. The USB can handle audio and MIDI, while its analog I/O can be configured for CV, Clock, or Audio signals. When using the Zero as a 2-channel DJ mixer, you just need to select which track you're focusing on and the controls will adjust automatically to the waveform, EQ, Looper, or Sync settings depending on the mode selected. For more loose playback options, un-synced playback lets you divorce the audio from the BPM, while more locked-in sets can make use of the exceptional timestretching options for on-the-fly beat-syncing.
