PCV2 from CG Products is a Eurorack to banana jack format converter with additional 1/4" connection. This five-channel banana to 3.5mm converter module also provides a system ground link. A shared ground is essential when connecting Eurorack and Serge, Buchla, and other formats that use banana plugs. While it includes a 10-pin Eurorack power connection, PCV2 is passive. The pin header's purpose is to make a more consistent and solid connection to your system's ground, providing a common voltage reference that banana cables do not carry. However, this connection is optional and patching from the module to other modules also establishes the common ground. As an added bonus, PCV2 features an extra connection between banana and 1/4" jack, so you aren't limited to using it with Eurorack modules. If you want to use your Eurorack system with external, banana jack-laden devices, PCV2 is a must have.
