The B1 from Burl Audio is a high quality microphone preamp and DI 500 series module, delivering a tremendous level of depth and punch to any signal you throw at it. The class-A, direct coupled, capacitor-free circuit path brings a high definition warmth to your signals, all while maintaining its original clarity. This in combination with Burl's proprietary BX3 input and BX2 nickel output transformer produce amazing punch on drums, beautiful tonality on guitars, and warmth with presence on vocals. In total the B1 can add up to 70 dB of additional gain using the stepped potentiometer, along with the discrete level control for dialing in the perfect gain staging. Use the transformer-coupled impedance switch to support ribbon mics and other low impedance sources. Modify the B1 for any scenario you may find yourself in with controls such as the -30 dB pad for extra hot signals, or the Polarity switch to instantly reverse the signal's phase. Easily connect your instruments using the front panel 1/4" DI input, perfect bringing more color to your guitars and synths.
