Blaknblu's Alpha Pro Quad Mixer and VCA provides your modular system with four identical VCAs which can be mixed together into up to two separate sub mixes. Each VCA features two selectable overdrive modes as well as stereo inputs and outputs, making for a highly flexible VCA bank, sub-mixer, or even end-of-chain mixer. Quite possibly the apex of the classic four-channel mixing VCA paradigm, Alpha Pro extends far beyond the typical capabilities of smaller units, instead offering comprehensive voltage control for all sorts of signals.

Each identical channel features dual inputs with independent level controls, allowing you to use each in stereo or process two summed signals simultaneously. While its gain control and CV input work exactly how you'd expect, controlling the amplitude of the input signal with an offset set by the gain knob, the additional bells and whistles of Alpha Pro take things to the next level. Select between linear and logarithmic response, and engage the zero crossing detector, which eliminates the clicks and pops that occur when a signal is passed through at a non-zero position in its waveform.

Route any VCA to one of two mix buses, with shared buses having identical mix outputs on their respective channels. Dial in the stereo position of sounds with the Pan control and CV input to get your signals wide and moving. Each channel also features both a soft and hard clipping drive mode with control over drive for each channel. Additional options on the back of the module can be set with jumpers, or using the included 2HP Alpha Switch module, which provides toggle switches for each of these settings. Settings include AC vs DC operation of inputs, signal chain position of the drive stage (pre or post), mono vs stereo operation, and enabling zero crossing detection for the pan CV. VCAs are always a hot commodity in any Eurorack system, and Alpha Pro Quad Mixer and VCA exceeds expectations with one of the most useful multi-VCA's in Eurorack.
