Behringer ABACUS

Abacus from Behringer takes your Eurorack system back to its roots, offering four channels of analog voltage generation and manipulation to offer a flexible powerhouse of modulation potential. Inspired by classic circuits found in legendary modular instruments from west coast synthesis traditions, Abacus offers a combination of two flexible function generators, two attenuversion channels, and a cornucopia of logic functions with which to derive complex modulations.

Channels one and four are AR function generators, offering snappy one shot envelopes or looped LFOs. Adjust the timing of attack, rise, or both via CV, and explore continuous shifts between logarithmic, linear, and exponential responses. Channel one sends a trigger at the end of its rising stage, while the fourth channel sends a trigger at the end of its full cycle, offering musically-relevant event based triggers for your patch. The middle channels offer voltage offsets without anything patched in, or can attenuate and invert signals.

At the bottom of the module, independent attenuated outputs are available for each channel. If left unpatched, the signals at these outputs will continue down to the or, sum, and inversion outputs, creating unique modulation sources related to but different than your input signals.
