182 Dual Sequencer

Behringer 182

The Behringer 182 Sequencer is a classic-style two-channel analog step sequencer that can be used to create melodic sequences. Each step of the sequencer can be tuned to create a melody whose step length is variable, from one to eight steps. An internal clock allows it to function on its own and a CV input allows for external automation of the clock speed. In addition to being used separately, the two sequencer channels can be linked together for up to 16 step sequences. Delay adds a sliding effect between notes, while the gate time sets the pulse width of the gate output. Repeat mode is an ever repeating series of steps while single mode does a single run through of the steps and then stops when initialized from the stop/start button. In step mode, the sequencer only travels one step at a time using the start/stop button, useful for tuning each step of the sequence precisely. This classic sequencer architecture stands up over the years, providing a tried and true method of creating melodies or as a source of modulation.
