Befaco's Muxlicer is a very handy switch, sequencer, pattern generator, gate generator, and the MEX is an expander, specifically for that last function: gate manipulation. Based on user feedback, Befaco designed this compact breakout that gives you eight three-position switches, allowing greater flexibility for rhythm sequencing. You can now choose whether a step will fire off its gate, pass the clock signal (or whatever is patched into the MEX's input), or do nothing with the flick of a switch—plus, you can chain multiple MEXs together off one Muxlicer. If you have a Muxlicer, do yourself a favor and grab a MEX, or two.
