Baltimore Sonic Research Institute Radical Conversion

A deeply enamored engineer tinkering away at their desk strewn with old Boss pedal and transistors smiles as they solder the last op-amp on the Radical Conversion. This engineer is none other than the mind behind Baltimore Sonic Research Society and that aforementioned pedal is their tribute to the great Boss pedals from the past 40 years. This 27 transistor laden distortion can give you everything from subtle overdrive to wild Metal Zone style wailing and everything in between. Use the 3-band EQ to dial in the perfect crunch—the Mid Freq control lets you adjust the Mid Gain frequency from 200Hz–4kHz, so when used with the Bass and Treble controls, you have a wide range of sounds available to you. Choose from a traditional MT-2 preamp voicing adds a cutting midrange boost, tight preamp boost for a sharp low-end response, or a beefy, fat preamp boost that rounds out the sound of single coils using the 3-way voicing preamp toggle. Volume and Gain controls give you expected level controls at different points in the circuit. If you like the sound of Boss distortions and wish to have them all in one pedal, well the Radical Conversion is the pedal you need.
