Larynx from AnalogFX is a unique monophonic semi-modular keyboard synthesizer inspired by the legendary Synton Syrinx, bringing formidable formant filtering tones to producers and performers alike. A be-keyed refinement of AnalogFX's phenomenal SER-2020, Larynx extends the design's characterful sound profile with powerful expressive controls. Most notable of these additions is the premium 37-key keybed, which features aftertouch control to turn every key press into a deeply expressive action. Also onboard is support for MIDI and MPE control, as well as the signature Touch'N'Bend expression pad, providing versatile options for crafting captivating performances and realtime modulation.

This expression comes in handy especially considering Larynx's uniquely characterful design. As the name suggests, Larynx excels at creating tones with a decidedly vocal quality thanks to its three-filter design. In addition to a dedicated 24dB low pass filter for classic subtractive sounds, you get an additional two resonant peak filters which form a flexible formant filter, allowing you to sweep between formant tones in squelchy bliss. At the front end of the signal chain, two VCOs with a sub-oscillator support robust tone generation. Expand further with the onboard Ring Modulator and Noise Source, and get things movement in modulation with two ADSR envelopes and two flexible waveshaping LFOs. A sample & hold circuit is also provided, as well as an arpeggiator and sequencer, making it easy to perform rhythmic passages that lock perfectly to a groove. Naturally, there is also portamento control, making this a wonderful choice for unique acid lines and other sliding bass melodies.
