After Later Audio Fuse

A full size reproduction of Mutable Instruments' Warps, the Fuse from After Later Audio feels familiar and sounds just as good as the original. Fuse has the same 7 algorithms as the original: crossfade, cross folding, digital model of an analog diode, ring modulator, XOR modulation, octaver/comparator, and 20 band-vocoder. Using the satisfyingly large knob, you can morph between all these different effects. Designed to work with two oscillators, the Fuse also has a built-in carrier oscillator, so you can use it with just a single external sound source. A Timbre knob lets you adjust the audio quality of the algorithm or fade between the two inputs, depending on the chosen setting. Fuse from After Later Audio gives you a chance to add this classic module to your case in all of its gritty glory.

Fuse Features

  • Modulation Algorithm: selects which signal processing operation is performed on the carrier and modulator
  • Modulation Timbre: controls the intensity of the high harmonics created by cross-modulation
  • Internal Oscillator State: enables the int. oscillator and selects its waveform. The color of the LED depends on the oscillator waveform When the IOS LED is off, the int. oscillator is disabled and an ext. signal is used as a carrier
  • When an ext. carrier is used, this knob controls the amplitude of the carrier
  • When the int. oscillator is active, this knob controls its frequency
  • The modulator amplitude knob controls the amplitude of the modulator. Note that gains above 1.0 can be applied, for a warm overdrive effect
  • When the int. oscillator is switched off, this CV input controls the gain of the carrier input
  • When the int. oscillator is enabled, it acts instead as a V/Oct control for the oscillator frequency
  • Modulator amplitude CV input controls the gain of the modulator input
  • When a signal is patched into this input, the amount of CV modulation is controlled by the Modulator amplitude knob
  • Algorithm CV input is added to the position of the Modulation algorithm knob
  • Timbre CV input is added to the position of the Modulation timbre knob
  • Eurorack module
  • Width: 10hp
  • Depth: TBD
  • Current draw: 110mA @ +12V, 5mA @ -12V
