In total, the Boulder Folder features three stages of harmonic enhancement, including an input drive stage, the main wavefolder, and an additional tone stack drive on the output. The core wavefolder adds a unique distortion flavor borrowed from the world of synthesis, giving you a characterful saturation that is highly responsive to signal level.

Using the left and right side switches, you can configure the pre and post drive stages to achieve a range of signal flow possibilities. Bypass the first drive for more wavefolding depth as you play at different dynamics, or engage it for a more consistent tone. Drive two follows the wavefolder, with the right side switch letting you disable it entirely, or even bypass the wavefolder for a more traditional, dual-overdrive sound. Jam-packed with knobs, the Boulder Folder gives you full control of each circuit, with dedicated drive, level, and tone controls for both drives, as well as harmonics and level controls for the wavefolder. At the bottom, global controls for dry / wet blend, tone, and output level let you fine tune your final sound.
