AC Noises Ricorda

Ricorda from AC Noises is a stereo granular reverb and looper pedal for exploring remembered spaces both real and imagined. Each of Ricorda's primary functions work independently of one another, providing simultaneous access to haunting digital reverberation, sparkling granular textures, and two minutes of overdubbable looping time in which to construct layered ambient spaces. Each of these powerful and emotive effects is fully tweakable from a simple interface, with additional methods of signal manipulation available via a secondary mode.

Ricorda's reverb gives you options for wet/dry mix, decay time, and tone, all classic tools for dialing in a solid reverb tone. Things get more interesting with the size parameter, allowing you to adjust from short reflections to huge spaces in both forward and reverse directions. A freeze control allows you to performatively lock the reverb tail into a textural pad, which can then be played over with Ricorda's granular engine and looper. Ricorda's granular engine creates small fragments of audio from the incoming signal, adding pointillistic sparkle or swarming textural material. Adjust the mix, number, size/direction, and temporal spread of these grains using the panel controls. A switch allows you to shift grains up an octave or play back in the original pitch.

With two great texturizing tools to play with, Ricorda goes the extra mile by providing an overdubbing looper to populate with your beautifully processed performances. Switch out of freeze mode and into looper mode to start recording. Ricorda ships with the looper set to post-effects, allowing you to change effects settings on each overdub. This can be adjusted in secondary mode, which also adds even more control over grains pitch, randomness, and feedback. Reverb gets LFOS, pre-delay, and diffusion to perfectly dial in and modulate your tone.
