CHNL SRFR (Channel Surfer) from WMD is a compact and powerful channel strip with integrated DJ-style FX, giving you everything you need to shape and expand stereo channels in just 4hp. Channel Surfer features connectivity on the back to directly integrate into WMD's Performance Mixer MKII insert headers, though its front-panel jacks make it just as powerful in any system. Despite its compact size, the module packs a ton of fun into a small package, allowing you to rack up a few units and achieve in-depth control and FX for multiple voices. The switch at the top lets you access controls for a three-band EQ, a DJ-inspired filter pair and drive effect, and performance effects and ducking, giving you hands-on control over a wide range of signal shaping tools in seconds.

In the three-band EQ, you get dedicated controls for level and frequency of high, mid, and low bands, providing DJ-style sculpting of any track to shape drum parts, boost a lead line's mid to cut through a mix, and so much more. The filter provides low and high pass filtering in more aggressive fashion than the EQ bands, as well as a characterful drive stage. Finally, the FX section gives you both a range of DJ-style effects and a dedicated sidechain ducker, letting you easily create classic kick sidechain effects, and expand your tones with dub delay, chorus, flanger, reverb, and more. While most of these controls are set manually, an assignable CV input lets you inject movement and automation into the mix. Also onboard is plenty of visual feedback with the LED VU meter, which doubles as a level indicator for each parameter control so you always know what you're controlling and how it's affecting your signal. Finally, the module features 9 slots for storing your favorite preset set-ups, making it easy to recall different configurations in a live environment.
