Basilisk Hybrid Bassline Synthesizer
Wirehead Instruments Basilisk
Basilisk is a shape-shifting analog-digital synthesizer born in the shadows of the MS-20 yearning for the deepest, phattest basslines to be conjured from within its soul. At its core lie two digital saw/pulse oscillators driving into a saturated analog filter with sweeping, squelchy resonance. But unlike traditional monosynths, Basilisk is guided by an internal sequencer whose patterns are changed by the Mutation/Density knob and Length/Clock Division knob.
Modulation lets you create organic movement, with the envelope being routable to filter and/or pitch, along with a multiwave LFO that can be assigned to cutoff, EG, note length, PWM, detune, octave or sequence length. Whether you're chasing rubbery acid riffs, lo-fi breaks, or unexpected harmonic bursts, Basilisk's semi-wild intelligence and tactile filter behavior make it a compelling tool for sonic adventuring. And with external audio input, it doubles as a wild modulating filter for your existing hardware.
