Wes Audio ngOmniBox

The Wes Audio ngOmniBox is an all-in-one mix and master chain in an analog, fully recallable rackmount unit. Taking cues from the most common devices found in signal chains—EQ, Compressor, Saturation, Clipping, and Stereo Enhancement—Wes Audio has created a digitally controlled device that is sure to find its way into all studio sessions in your future. With each of the blocks being individually bypassed plus the EQ and Compressor being reversible, you can easily dial in the right sound for the right artist.

It all starts with the input section that offers up an integrated high pass filter, which then feeds into a passive 2-band EQ designed to be musical and broad. Remember: this EQ can be instantly switched to go after the Compressor if desired. Our Compressor section is an analog bus compressor that has been designed to give any mix glue and dynamics. After that, the dedicated Saturation section adds harmonic character and density, independent from the EQ and Compressor sections. The Clipper section comes next which is perfect for peak control and transient shaping. The penultimate section is Width which adds exceptional space with precision. Our Output section gives us control over the final level.

If you're not satisfied with the options available in the ngOmniBox—or just want to experiment with some esoteric patching—don't fret: the Input and Output section both have independent, stereo inserts. The Input insert lets you process external effects through the signal chain. The Output insert lets you add some extra pizzazz and can run in a Mid/Side configuration. Best of all, control the entire device from a plugin, so you can easily recall exactly what you did, or quickly scroll through your preferred signal chains.
