WA-CX24 Stereo Tube Condenser Microphone

Warm Audio WA-CX24

Warm Audio continues their run of faithfully recreating legendary gear with the WA-CX24, a large-diaphragm stereo tube condenser microphone modeled after the iconic C24. The WA-CX24 was designed from the ground up to retain all the same vintage character as its predecessor, now with modern components and design philosophies that bring this classic into the contemporary era. It features two all-brass CK12-style capsules, and TAB-Funkenwerk USA output transformers for capturing the same vintage feel as the original. It includes a premium 12AY7 tube for smooth highs and vibrant midrange, making it ideal for room miking and 1-take stereo vocals. The WA-CX24 was designed to eliminate phase issues for error-proof stereo recording, making this the perfect mic for a plethora of recording applications.

The design of the WA-CX24 allows you to independently adjust the position of each capsule within a 180-degree range. This flexibility gives you access to a number of stereo recording configurations, such as XY, Blumlein, mid-side or any custom angle you can imagine. You can also independently adjust the polar patterns of the two capsules, giving you even more creative control when designing your sound. Choose from three patterns: Cardioid, Omnidirectional, and Figure-8. Combining these polar patterns unlocks unique stereo images, which can be tailored to whatever recording environment you find yourself in. Whether you're recording piano, drums, or a room full of vocalists, the WA-CX24 from Warm Audio allows you to capture lush stereo recordings previously only capable with classic vintage microphones.
