Like the original, the WA-1B boasts a particularly musical flavor of compression with few settings that sound bad... if any at all! Lundahl transformers and tubes by JJ and Tung-Sol give a rich sonic foundation to any signals passing through, while the internal optical components impart a natural and unique curve to the Attack and Release of compression onset. But an interesting aspect of the WA-1B is the ability to rely on its natural or fixed times, variable settings in manual mode, or a combination of both at once.
