Walrus AudioBellwether V2 Analog Delay With Tap Tempo
Walrus Audio Bellwether V2
The Bellwether, from Walrus Audio, is a BBD style delay pedal with integrated tap tempo. It features all-analog circuitry and a total of 1000ms delay time, which means it can be used to create luscious soundscapes with either long or short delay trials.
Sonically, it can perpetrate the same rich sounds as produced by the Maxon AD999 and Boss DM-2. Conversely, users can brighten the repeats using the tone control, allowing for the creation of emphatic, rhythmic delays. There’s also an analog chorus section that allows for manipulation of its chorus depth and rate. Naturally, the result is a dense soundscape of ambient modulation. Depending on how the Time and Repeat controls are configured, users can achieve everything from classic slapback tones to shoegaze lulls. When pushed to the max, these controls can drive the pedal into self-oscillation.
