The Universal Audio Volt 4 Max is a powerful professional 12-in/6-out audio interface for the discerning musician on the go. Featuring 2 onboard Tone Shaping Preamps along with Max dynamics processing, you can record rich character without the need for bulky external gear. Record everything in glorious full 32-bit recording at a rate up to 192kHz. Connect MIDI controllers with the MIDI TRS I/O or use the built-in USB-C connections. Stay in control with the Smart Display which lets you select channels and set levels with ease. No computer necessary with the class compliant functionality and USB-C bus power, making it perfect for a tablet or phone.

A solid amount of input and output options for its size, you can choose from the two Hi-Z 1/4" input on the front for guitar and bass, or flip around to the back where you have a pair of XLRs—which gives you access to the preamps—along with an additional pair of 1/4" inputs. A pair of 1/4" balanced outputs are dedicated for monitors, while a secondary set of outputs let you connect an additional pair of speakers, or use it to interface with external hardware. If that's not enough, you can use the ADAT to expand you input selection by 8 with an external device.
