Polysex adds two different mods to the Korg Polysix synthesizer. The first is a pitch mod, which associated the envelope with the pitch, allowing users to alter the envelope's polarity while maintaining a reference point where the desired pitch remains in tact. Musically, this mod is perfect for portamento-esque effects and percussive sounds. The second mod, voice spread, is indespensible. Once equipped, the user can select the total amount of voice spread, link an envelope and two LFOs, and activate/deactivate in poly mode. Musically, this lets users achieve broader modulation effects when in unison mode and detune modulation when in poly mode—perfect for naturalistic sounds as well as complex sounds.
