Chronicle from Tenderfoot Electronics is a versatile eight-channel, 8x8 CV and gate sequencer with controls designed for live performance. It features an intuitive LED-per-step design, built to inspire on-the-fly sequencing, or for adding modulation to pre-programmed sequences. The 8x8 grid design makes it easy to quickly program multiple channels at once: simply select one of the eight channels, and punch in the rhythm you're after. Each channel comes equipped with a number of Parameter Modes, which let you add flavor to your sequences on-the-fly with momentary effects, such as Ratcheting, Swing, Gate Length, and Chance for adjusting a step's probability. Keyboard Mode allows you to use the 8x8 grid as a piano-style keyboard, or even an expanded microtonal keyboard, instantly turning one of your eight channels into a real-time performance tool. Chronicle comes pre-programmed with twenty-four scales for quantizing the CV of each sequencer or keyboard channel, with each scale able to be edited and stored via the microSD card.

Chronicle can operate via internal or external clock, with a number of division and multiplication options for integrating your sequences into a larger system. The Fill Mode allows you to add instant trigger fills to your sequences, with divisions and multiplications of 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 1/1, 2x, 3x, 4x and 5x. The microSD card provides 512 pattern slots, which can all be pre-programmed and recalled at any time. The Song Mode allows you to chain these patterns together for creating complex sequences ahead of time, letting you focus on affecting those sequences when performing.
